The Blues finished fourth this term but have been tipped to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool following the club’s impressive revival under Tuchel.
Chelsea were just ninth when the German manager replaced Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge but managed to climb into the top-four places in the second-half of the season, while securing a stunning Champions League triumph and reaching the FA Cup final.
Gallas believes Chelsea are primed for a genuine title bid next season and says the title will be heading to west London if Tuchel brings in a top-class striker this summer.
Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, Tottenham captain Harry Kane and Inter Milan ace Romelu Lukaku have all been linked with moves to Chelsea in recent weeks.
‘I predicted one of the London clubs would win the title last year but it didn’t happen and I was a little disappointed,’ Gallas told 888sport.
‘Chelsea have the best chance of winning the Premier League next season because of how they played in the Champions League, every team will be afraid.
‘If Chelsea buy a world-class striker, they will win it. From those three, Chelsea have the best chance.
‘To be a big club, you have to qualify for the Champions League – only big clubs qualify for the Champions League.
‘That’s why City, United, Chelsea and Liverpool qualified. Not Arsenal and Tottenham – they are not big clubs.
‘OK, Arsenal is a big club with history but it’s been a long time since they won the Premier League so they need to get back. And Tottenham, it is a long, long time since they won the league.’
