The Spanish international is likely to leave PSG in 2021. He could join Atletico Madrid, who are still looking for top-level reinforcements to take a step further in the Champions League.
Despite the fact that the French side should have no major problems in terms of complying with Financial Fair Play, there are several players who remain on PSG’s exit list. One of them is Pablo Sarabia, who was unable to replicate in 2020-21 his excellent numbers of 2019-20 in Paris and is one of the most important assets available to the Parisian team with options to leave.
His good Euros have opened up the market for him in Spanish league and Atletico Madrid are very interested in the winger. In the past weeks, PSG tried a swap deal with Lazio for ‘Tucu’ Correa, but both teams did not agree.
According to ‘Le Parisien’, Atletico Madrid have taken the lead to get the former Sevilla player, but Inter Milan are also interested.
The transfer fee to be paid for the Real Madrid homegrown player would be close to the €19 million paid by PSG to Sevilla to sign Sarabia at the end of the 2018-19 season.
At PSG, the right winger has made 77 appearances, scored 21 goals and provided 11 assists, and with Spain at the last Euros, he scored twice and also provided an assist.
