Nick Tilsley And Leanne Battersby Will Face New Worries Over Sam Blakeman Next Week

Sam’s mum Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) has only recently allowed Nick (Ben Price) to see his son again after his and Leanne (Jane Danson)’s troubles with Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor)’s gang led to Sam (Jude Riordan) being kidnapped and trapped in a van for days, an incident which left his family distraught.

When Natasha reaches out to Nick next week and asks if he and Leanne can look after Sam for the week, Nick is chuffed to be able to spend proper time with his son again with Natasha’s blessing.

As Sam scampers off to Oliver’s old bedroom to put his astronomy posters up on the wall, Nick lovingly watches him.

When he shows Leanne the posters he’s put up, Sam worries that he has upset her by making changes to her late son’s bedroom, so Nick suggests that they take the posters down.

But when Leanne finds out, she tells Sam to put his posters back up, as Oliver’s old bedroom is now his and she wants him to feel at home in the flat. Sam hugs her, grateful for her kindness.

Later in the week, after a trip to the park, Nick is stressed as he shows Leanne a graze that Sam has sustained on his knee. Leanne isn’t worried, advising Nick to stop mollycoddling Sam.

Sam later wanders onto the balcony of the flat, his headphones clamped to his ears. Nick panics when he can’t find Sam in the flat and, terrified that something else has happened to Sam, rushes out to search for him.

Nick and Leanne conduct a frantic search for Sam, all while the boy remains safe on the balcony with his headphones on.

How long will it take for Nick and Leanne to realise that Sam is fine?

Jane Danson recently opened up about Leanne’s big decision to accept Sam into her life, saying that she has realised “how important Sam is to Nick” and how supportive Nick has been to her.

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, July 19 and Wednesday, July 21 from 7.30pm on ITV.
