Kylian Mbappe does not want to renew with PSG. That is what he has told the club, despite the club’s best efforts to persuade him to stay.
According to ‘AS’, the striker and his inner circle hope Real Madrid change their attitude and put pressure on the French club so that his move can be completed this summer.
Kylian Mbappe’s contract at PSG runs until June 2022. The footballer is clear that he is not thinking of staying beyond that date and he is confident the French club will understand that.
His mind is now thinking of life away from the Parc des Princes. Mbappe wants to play for Real Madrid. ‘Los Blancos’ have had the player’s name on their agenda although they have approached him with caution. The Spanish side do not want to fall out with a club as powerful as PSG.
In Paris they are willing to do everything to get Mbappe to stay. They will offer the same salary as Neymar, the best paid player in the squad. Not even then will the number ‘7’ stay.
Mbappe’s mind is thinking of just one thing: playing for Real Madrid. ‘AS’ says that they have spoken to sources close to the footballer about his future.
Mbappe, according to ‘AS’, is waiting for Real Madrid to change their attitude. They believe it is time for Madrid to put pressure on them so that the deal is completed, if possible, this summer.
The next weeks will be significant. Mbappe is desperate to play for Real Madrid and he would like not to have to wait until summer 2022. He is hoping Real Madrid help him with that.
At the moment, Real Madrid have only made one approach to PSG, ‘AS’ says, to ask informally about PSG. The answer they received was that the attacker is not for sale. Therefore, Real Madrid have not made more approaches.
Real Madrid, despite Mbappe’s wish, are not planning to change their attitude one jot. They do not want to go to war with PSG. It remains to be seen whether, at the back end of the window whether the club change their mind. If they decide to wait until 2022, there is a risk that Mbappe could end up signing a new contract and that would rule out a move to the Bernabeu.
