She told The Sun : “I’ve gone to hell and back, it was horrific. ‘Oh my God I look like a monster out of a horror movie.’
“I just thought, ‘This is it, I’m going to die.’ I was terrified of looking like a freak, like that Bride of Wildenstein or a fake doll.
“I’ve woken up with holes and stitches all over my body and I look like I’ve got cat’s whiskers coming out of my nose and eyes.”
She decided to have the surgery so she could look “fresher” to her wedding to Carl Woods but she feared he might leave her after she woke up and saw herself following the operations.
She explained to The Mirror : “Put it this way, the wedding that I want, if you Googled it, no one has ever done it before.
“No wall-to-wall celeb faces. It’ll be about us, Carl and our family, coming together as one. I want the focus on Carl as much as me.”
While Katie loves her new look, her 34-year-old ex-husband Kieran Hayler – dad of her seven-year-old son Jett and six-year-old daughter Bunny – claims her kids found it “scary” after seeing her latest bout of surgery.
According to the MailOnline, he said: “The hardest thing is Jett and Bunny, and obviously Princess and Junior have to see her after the surgery, which isn’t the nicest process.
“It’s scary because when you put your body under that much strain, you’re going under anaesthetic, things go wrong and you must think of your kids sometimes …
“It has become such a normal thing. Is too far even a thing anymore? If you talk to anyone over the age of 30-years-old, you can guarantee they’ve had something done whether that is surgical or not.”
