The young Belgian player, one of the revelations of the Euros, could join one of the big teams in European football, although he will remain at Rennes.
Sometimes it only takes a couple of games to become one of the most outstanding players at the Euros. This is what has happened to Jérémy Doku, who went from being overlooked in Belgium to playing quality minutes in the tournament.
The young winger, only 19 years old, is on the agenda of several of Europe’s top teams. The sports section of ‘Le Soir’ reported that the player would find it difficult to leave Rennes this season, although they spoke of a major transfer in the medium term.
‘Daily Sports’ placed Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Liverpool high on the ‘Red Devils’ footballer’s wish list. After training at Anderlecht, he moved to Rennes for 27 million euros for the 2020-21 season. Doku gained experience at Rennes last season, making 37 appearances, scoring two goals and assisting three times.
In the recently concluded Euros, the winger, who mainly plays on the left wing but can adapt to the right, played 76 minutes against Finland and 90 minutes against Italy, a game in which he forced a penalty.
